How do I find a particular piece of information?
We hope that the various areas of the website, given in the main menu on the left, will help you to focus on your particular interest. Most of these sections of the site have search facilities of their own. In Training & Events, for instance, you might wish to search just for conferences in Yorkshire. You may also find it useful to search across the whole site and you can do this by using the search box which is a constant feature of the menu bar on the left. Using this search facility, you might for instance find all items relating to writing and healthcare, which might be events, job opportunities, books listed in our resources section, or articles in the archive. Simply type in the relevant words or phrases (e.g. writing, healthcare). You will then be able to go directly to the items which interest you most. You can also use this search facility to look on related websites, either those of our literaturetraining partners, or the wider CreativePeople network (providing information, advice and guidance to support all those who work in arts and craft industries).
At the bottom of each page you are presented with the option to select a 'printer friendly version'. Clicking on this option will format the page in the most economical way to create a paper copy of the information on screen.
How do I change the size of the text on screen?
If you wish to change the size of the text, go to the top menu bar on your computer screen and click on 'View'. This should then offer you the option to increase or decrease the size of the text displayed in all areas of the site.
How do I get back to the main menu?
You can return to the homepage and the main menu at any time by clicking on the literaturetraining logo at the very top left of any page. You can also retrace your steps either with the 'back' button on your browser, or by following the 'breadcrumb trail' at the top of the page which shows you how you have reached the page currently viewed.
Why does the site look different on various computers?
There will be small differences in the way the site is displayed on PCs and Macs. If you are using a Mac, then the site will work perfectly using either Safari or, preferably, the Firefox browser available from
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/all (select the British version). Internet Explorer for the Mac has not been upgraded for several years and is therefore not recommended.
