An annual award of £25,000 for a work of fiction in English which deals seriously with some aspect of life in the Far East (Brunei, Burma,Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam).
